Last year some members of the Glitter Squad took part in the Auckland Pride Parade, walking along Ponsonby Road with over 50 entries and hundreds of participants in support of diversity, inclusion and personal expression.
After brainstorming what to do next, the team decided to go big and plan a free wedding to take place during the 2018 Auckland Pride Parade!
“We love the idea of celebrating love with a crowd of thousands at the culmination of the Pride Festival.” Says celebrant Laura Giddey.
Couples are invited to enter via their Facebook or Instagram page providing info on their relationship and a short video explaining why they want to get married at Pride.
As well as a free ceremony at the most unique location in New Zealand, couples will also win free videography from Wild Souls, photography from Stories by Bianca, flowers by RubyRose, dinner from Miss Moonshines, and more treats to be announced soon.
